You Can Build a Successful Online Mlm Business
Posted by: | CommentsYou have decided that you want to start a successful online mlm business, but you really don’t know what to do to avoid mistakes. In anything you want to do, it’s always helpful to look for a model first. Find someone who has accomplished what you want, and take a close look at exactly what they did and how they did it. You don’t need to duplicate every step of their plan, but when you understand the parts of that model, you can save yourself a lot of trial and error. You have put yourself in a much closer position to success. All that means is, “Don’t re-invent the wheel. “One much-copied model that has risen to the top over the years is the single product page. The normal inclination of most people in network marketing when they sell products is to offer a choice of several or many products on the same page. On most network marketing company websites, you’ll find a virtual catalog of dozens or hundreds of products. A catalog like that works when someone goes to the catalog to find a particular product to buy. But in the case of MLM, you rarely have buyers like that. Mostly, they are just looking. And they’re overwhelmed by all the choices, so they click away. The correct solution is, follow the “single page” model. Set up one product on a url, and send targeted traffic to that page. That model works. If you’re working with a company that doesn’t do this, it’s best to beat the bushes to find one that does. It’s the little things that really decide whether you have a chance for long-term success with any particular MLM company. This sounds pretty wild but, trust me, it is true. One decisive factor can be whether your company owns its own software. What possible difference can THAT make, you wonder? Well, here’s how it works. Most companies when they start up are looking for ways to cut costs. One way to keep costs down is to rent the software to run the company. So instead of paying $1 million or more upfront, maybe they’re spending $10,000 a month on the software rental. So far, so good. But there are a couple problems that can come up. For one thing, every compensation plan is different. They often find out too late that you can’t change the software to handle compensation plan changes. So if the company finds a great new gizmo to add, it can’t . . . because it’s locked-in by the software. Even worse, many contracts designate that the software vendor is a co-owner of the database. The result is, if your company has tough times & can’t make a payment, the software vendor can rent out the database if they want . . . that includes all the names of the group you have built. Incredible, but it has happened. You’re much safer with a company who owns their software. Don’t you love it when you go out looking to buy a car and a salesman is on you like glue? He may talk a lot, he may not talk much, but his job is to sell you a car. Period. How does that feel? That’s a point that Michael Dlouhy makes in his “Success In 10 Steps” ebook. People see MLM as a sales business, and it isn’t. It is is a relationship-You need ways to build know, like, & trust with people because that is what will cause them to join you in business.
